Reiki is a Japanese tradition of energy healing that began in the late 1800's and has been passed on, person to person through generations around the world. Reiki is the combination of two words: rei (universal life) and ki (energy). Quite simply, Reiki is universal life force energy.
In my experience, I find Reiki to be a loving light or presence that is warm, powerful, gentle and transformative. I like to think of it as the frequency of love, compassion, and forgiveness, and still it is so much more! Reiki can be practiced on oneself, or on others, both in person and remotely. In my healing sessions, I often use Reiki during the second half of our time together, which often leaves clients feeling clear, refreshed, relaxed and grounded. As a Reiki Master, its my job to hold space, channel the energy, and let Reiki do its magic as we both bear witness to the experience.
I am currently a Reiki Master in the Usui tradition, and am completing my training to become a Reiki Master Teacher. (First Reiki 1 Class to be held this Fall!) My style of Reiki, as learned from my teacher, Marisa Moris, is what's called Quantum Reiki, which calls on both intuition and tradition.
