Singing songs, making sound, writing songs, and performing and healing with my voice is a big part of who I am and why am here on this earth. Not much gives me more pleasure than singing! The longer I live, the more singing, music and sound fascinates me.
I have two degrees in vocal performance and I adore singing for an audience, but the audience of one, especially in the context of healing work, has been a joy to explore. After all, singing is such an intimate form of vibration, such an intuitive way of connecting and communicating with others.
I love when I am called to incorporate singing into a healing session. Sometimes I am guided to chant or hum as a part of giving Reiki and doing energy healings and other times full on songs come though.
I have studied Therapeutic Music (different than music therapy!) and volunteered with Middlebury's Wellspring Hospice Chorus. It was an honor to serve people in hospitals and at the end of life. Offering the voice to those experiencing illness can be transformative for all involved.
With an extensive background in classical voice, I also teach voice lessons both through the Middlebury Community Music Center and my private home voice studio. Song writing has become a recent passion of mine and I'm one half of the duo, The North Street Project, with my friend and colleague, Dayve Huckett.
